The Inter-Alliances Challenge

The Inter-Alliances Challenge is a quiz in French that focuses on French-speaking culture. Alliances Françaises students from around the world compete to win the grand prize: up to 6 winners will enjoy a trip to Paris!*

We also have prizes for the winners of the Canadian test : a $300 credit for the two best participants to be used towards a course or a DELF/DALF type exam within the Alliance Française de Montréal.

In addition to the trip to Paris up for grabs, the Challenge is a fun way to practice your French, test your knowledge of French culture, connect with students from other classes, and proudly represent Montreal and Canada in a international competition!

The 2024 competition consists of four rounds :

Saturday, May 4 at 4 p.m., at the Alliance Française de Montréal.

Saturday June 1, at 2 p.m., online.

Tuesday October 1st at the Théâtre de l'Alliance Française (Paris), time to be confirmed.

  • The two candidates with the highest scores from the local and national selections will advance to the next round.
  • The best performing candidate in the geographical area selection will travel to Paris and compete in the international final.
