Registration and payment
Simply choose your course or workshop directly on the website.
Registration is personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
Your place is confirmed only when all fees have been paid.
Yes. Even if the session has already started, the total cost of the session is due.
1) Course or workshop fees
Amount varies according to duration, level or type of activity.
2) Annual registration fee – $55
Mandatory for the first registration of the year (course or workshop).
Valid for 12 months and include :
- administrative expenses
- educational licenses
- reduced rates on workshops and hands-on activities
- privileged access to cultural activities
These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
3) Teaching materials (course only)
- Face-to-face manual + workbook provided free of charge
- Online digital key sent on the first day
(paper version available at additional cost)
Teaching materials are non-refundable.
Payment is made online at the time of registration.
If your employer finances the training, payment must be received 7 days before the first session.
A confirmation e-mail including :
- course/workshop information,
- dates and times,
- instructions for getting started.
This e-mail officially confirms your place.
By registering, you confirm that :
- you are at least 18 years old ;
- the chosen course corresponds to your level;
- you have checked your availability;
- AFMTL is not responsible for your personal changes (schedules, moving, etc.);
- absences do not entitle the student refunds, credits or make-ups.

Assessment fees are reimbursed when you register for a group French course (only one reimbursement per person, whether for the online test or the interview with a teacher). -
Not if you’re a complete beginner.

No, if you are re-registering for a session already in progress.
Courses and workshops
- 4 students or more : the session opens normally.
- 3 students the session is reduced to 2/3 of the duration (semi-private format).
- Less than 3 students course or workshop may be cancelled.
Yes. AFMTL can change the teacher without notice.
This change does not to request a refund or transfer.
In case of behavior :
- violent, aggressive or discriminatory,
- disruptive or disrespectful towards other students or staff.
Exclusion is without reimbursement.
Cancellations, refunds and transfers

Yes, if you write to info@afmtl.ca at least 5 working days before the first session.
If this deadline is met :
- refund possible less $75 administration fee
- visit 55 annual fee remain due and non-refundable
Less than 5 working days before start date :
No refund, credit or transfer
No. No refunds or credits once the session has begun.
- 5 working days or more before the start date transfer free of charge (annual fee still applies).
- Less than 5 days before start date :
→ issue a credit valid for 1 year,
→ less 75 administration fee and 55 annual fee.
With a medical certificatea credit or refund can be granted.
Yes, a course session may be cancelled due to lack of enrolment. No fee will be charged.
Credits are :
- valid 1 year,
- non-transferable,
- non-extendable,
- not reissued in case of loss,
- not applicable in the event of absence during a session.
