Instructions for use

The initial registration process for French courses at the Alliance Française de Montréal begins with an oral placement test.

Please note

  1. I understand that an assessment via the oral placement test is mandatory prior to any first registration for a mini-group course at the Alliance Française de Montréal. Exception:
  • New students with no knowledge of French wishing to enroll in A1.1. No placement test is required.
  • New students with a level certificate from an Alliance Française or Institut Français, or results from an official French exam (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF) less than 2 years old. You will be asked to provide this attestation. 2. No claims will be accepted if students submit incorrect test results or if they decide not to take the oral placement test and enroll in the wrong level or class.

  1. I understand that an oral placement test costs 29.99 CAD. This purchase is valid for one online interview only. It is non-transferable.
  2. I understand that this amount will be deducted from the registration fees for a course session paid no later than 3 months after the date of purchase of said product.
  3. I understand that once the oral test has been booked, it can be postponed to a later date with 24 hours' notice. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be accepted less than 24 hours before the scheduled test time.
  4. If the customer is absent or late for the oral test without at least 24 hours' notice, the test is considered lost. No refund is possible.
  5. If I wish to retake an oral placement test, I will have to pay for one again at afmontreal.ca.
