Creative writing workshop
Write differently. Write more freely.
This workshop is designed to get you writing, simply, in French.
Less academic. Without pressure. Without getting stuck in front of the page.
The objective
- Write more often.
- Be more comfortable.
- And enjoy writing.
What you'll be working on
- Write more fluidly, without thinking too much
- Develop your vocabulary by writing
- Test different forms: narrative, dialogue, poetry, short texts
How it works
We write based on simple instructions. Sometimes a theme, sometimes a constraint, sometimes a starting text.
The goal isn’t to be perfect. It’s to try, to explore, to find your own way of writing.
You'll be testing different styles:
- write simply, like Jacques Prévert
- playing with words, like Raymond Queneau
- write more orally, inspired by Michel Tremblay
- use constraints, like Georges Perec
- write personal texts, like Annie Ernaux
- go for something more refined, like Marguerite Duras
Each session includes short writing activities and exercises; longer, original productions are to be completed between sessions.
